We are delighted that Southside is being supported as Rotork’s Bath office Charity of the Year for 2024! They started the fundraising with a great team taking on the Bath Half Marathon in March and visited Meade House in June to present a big cheque for £3,500 to support our work with local families facing multiple and complex challenges and people affected by domestic abuse.
Rotork is committed to making a positive contribution to the communities in which they work, and that starts right here in Bath where the company was founded. They chose to support Southside as a local charity with deep roots in local communities, and we look forward to working with the team during the year to get involved in activities, volunteering and more fundraising.
The funding will support our Community Hub Groups, which enable Southside to bring families together as early intervention services in pockets of deprivation, so people can come together each week after school for nutritious food, play and peer support from each other as well as through our Family Support Workers. We hope to work with Rotork to take some inspiring engineering-based play activities out to the Community Hub Groups for children and families to enjoy in the Autumn Term so watch this space!
