Corporate Support
Nominating Southside as your chosen charity is a great way for your staff to work together for a whole year to make a difference in your local communities, build skills, networks and staff morale. You can engage employees in raising funds for critical work that makes a real difference locally and inspire your customers, clients and community.
Ask in your company if there is ‘Charity of the Year’ scheme so you can nominate Southside – and you could always start one if the opportunity isn’t yet available. This could include:
- direct corporate donations
- donations from employees (financial donations and winter shoebox appeal for essential toiletries for victims fleeing domestic violence, scarves, toys and stationery for children, crafts activities for adults)
- fundraising throughout the year, e.g. monthly bake sales, buzzwords ban, dress down days and film nights
- challenges – running a half marathon or taking on a sponsored cycle ride
Gifts in Kind
Pro bono support and product donations can make a huge difference – whether you are a retailer, manufacturer, creative agency, printer or consultant, we would love to hear from you about services and donations that you could offer.
We hold an annual raffle with Bath City Farm for our Summer Fun Day and need inspiring prizes, as well as essential items to support people feeling domestic abuse or craft materials for our Community Hub Groups. Whatever you feel you can offer, please contact us
Payroll Giving
Payroll giving is a simple and tax-effective way of making regular donations to charities. Your donation is taken from your salary before tax is deducted, so Southside will receive the tax that you otherwise would have paid. This means an employee who pledges £10 to Southside each month would only donate £8 and the balance will be made up by HM Revenue and Customs. Ask your company if they have a payroll giving scheme and how you can sign up.
We believe in change... people, not problems.
Southside supports individuals and families living in Bath and North East Somerset to make positive changes in their lives. Rooted in the heart of the communities we have served since 1997..
