Volunteering for Southside is a rewarding way to help children and families in Bath and North East Somerset.
“When Southside asked me to do some work with them on a voluntary basis, drawing on my experiences, I jumped at the chance.”
Southside could not do the work it does without a diverse and dynamic network of volunteers to support us. Many of our volunteers go on to train and become workers for Southside and other organisations. If you have spare time and would like to make a real difference in your community.
There are many opportunities for placements for people in training and education at Southside — especially play and art therapy students, counsellors and coaches in training — as well as trainee social workers.
Southside offers traineeships and apprenticeships to young people in our communities. Our supportive working environment can be the perfect place for a young person to gain invaluable work experience.
Our ‘family champions’ help us to improve the services we provide. They are children, young people and adults who have used our services and who have been trained to gather information about the impact our services are having.
